Elisha and Jemima (Howell) Vorce were married June 9, 1857.  They had 10 kids together.  Elisha Alden Vorce was born November 14, 1832 in New York and died Oct 1913 in Michigan.  Jemima Howell was born June 2, 1839 in Pennsylvania and died May 27, 1889 in Michigan.  Both are buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

  1. I know some of the Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Max Robert Vorce went to school (Flint Junior College, where they both had merit type scholarships during the late Depression) with my Mother in Flint, and like Herbert G. Vorce, his Grandfather, was a locally well known entrepreneur. I went to HS with Anne and Betsy Vorce in Flint. Both brilliant and delightful and funny. A bunch of other descendants live in the Harbor Springs area of Michigan, though I don't know them. I've seen H.G. Vorce's grave for years, as it is in the Mullett Burt Cemetery where my Mother and Father are buried. But I never knew until recently how they were related. Betsy was kind of vague about it, but it was clear from her Aunt's Obituary.
